Area 75 Art & Auction: Eggshell Inlay Lacquer Workshop

The Eggshell Inlay Lacquer Workshop is a hands-on lacquer art experience where you will use eggshells to create shapes and decorative details on a lacquer artwork. Small pieces of eggshell are carefully arranged and worked onto the lacquer surface, creating unique textures and visual effects.

At Area 75 Art & Auction, you will be guided step by step to create your own lotus flower artwork. It is a fun and approachable way to learn more about Vietnamese lacquer art and try a traditional craft technique for yourself.

What will you experience?

The highlight of the workshop is a material you may not expect: eggshells. Small pieces of eggshell are used to create details on the lacquer artwork, combined with layers of red lacquer to create distinctive colors and textures.

During the workshop, you will create your own lotus flower artwork with guidance from the team at Area 75 Art & Auction. Starting with small pieces of eggshell, you will arrange, inlay and shape them to gradually bring your artwork to life.

You don't need to be particularly artistic or have any previous experience with art. Just come with an open mind and enjoy discovering how an everyday material like eggshells can be transformed into a beautiful piece of art.

At the end of the workshop, you will have your own lotus flower artwork to take home.

Important Notes

• Please book at least 24 hours in advance so the Center has enough time to arrange an instructor and prepare all the necessary materials.

• Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before the workshop starts to get settled.

If the workshop is changed or cancelled by the Organizer, customers will be supported with rescheduling or refunds according to the Organizer's policy.

Ticket Transfer Policy

Vio does not process ticket transfers to another person. If you wish to transfer your ticket, please contact the Organizer directly before the workshop starts so the attendee information can be updated.
